3" of body lift and 31x10.50s is pretty close if this helps.

Thanks. The body lift allowed me to run it between the frame and body so it doesn't hang down and get caught on stuff like my old tail pipe did.

No lift(yet) and 31x10.50's. Basically a stock '84. Maybe this will allow you to compare looks.

did you have to do any trimming with the 31's on the body lift?

No. The only rubbing I had was from a plastic trim piece that had come loose on the driver's side front. It was the trim that is below the bumper and wraps around, I reattached it and no problems.

Yeah,31x10.50x15 on the stock rims. I put them on before I found this site, so didn't know about backspacing or anything like that. Still not sure what it is. The tires give me about 9" of clearance at the rear diffy, which looks like the lowest part.

i might run 30x9.5x15's for a while with a 2" spacer up front....i don't really want to do a body lift after seeing a couple pictures with the bumper in the factory location....

The 10.50's don't stick out to much, so not to much gets throen up on the truck. They are pretty much even with the fender flare.

Here is my old '89 on 31x10.50s, 15x7 wheels

Explorer springs front and rear. No suspension lift (except that provided by the Explorer springs) and no body lift.

It only rubbed when off road.

if you go for 30x9.5x15's on a stock suspension b2.. expect it to look like this

those wouldn't be bad with a 4" lift.....that would give the suspension room to travel...

I'd be looking for 4.10 axles if you want 31s, although yours is an auto so it might have them. Mine really sucked with 3.45 gears.

4.10s with a 2.9 manual and 31s is a great combo.

I had a helper spring in the rear and coil spacers in the front with minor front fender trimming. Ran 31's with after market rims. Did great.

what backspacing are you guys running on your 15x8 wheels with 31x10.50x15's? I can only find 15x8's that have 4" of backspacing......i don't know if that is too much or not....
