That Harley seat looks like it came off the 70's Aermacchai Harleys, one of the dirty bikes or street bikes.

Can never have enough rangers and hell beds are cheap enough to replace, mine was $150.

well found the reason my engine was blowing blue smoke... was cleaning the oil pan today and found chunks of aluminum (o_O just guess whats it from)

heres why i was blowing blue smoke

piston rings on 3 of the pistons were broken and they all have huge burrs on the edge of them (they were in there awhile or even reused maybe)

here are some progress pics

this is the one piston that broke

mroe block pics

and heres all 3 of the trucks.. tomorrow ill take pictures of the 94.....the new 5.0 and sas truck

I like how well organized you have everything. I don't think I could keep a shop that clean even if I tried!

well went to the machine shop yesterday and got a quote on what i needed to be done on my 302..

bored to either .040 or .050 depening on how bad the ridge is on the cylinder walls
crank balanced, polished
harmonic balancer balanced
flywheel balanced
do a valve job,
spot blast the entire block and heads
put new pistons on connectiong rods
.. pretty much a overhaul of everything will cost me roughly $1200 for just the machine work, i found a overhaul kit for 309, comes with new pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets and a bunch of other stuff

i know its cold as hell bud, but go find a lower mile roller block in the yard and field strip it and just get the block.

pull the head and if it has good crosshatching get one like that.....i wouldnt dick around with that block after looking at the piston and 30 over job. 302 blocks are cheap for a reason. cause they are cheap
