radius arms...how long is too long?

Gonna build a new set of arms and was wonderig how long they can be extended without serious issues arising?

I was thinking about right after the t/case skid plate.

Wont that effect ground clearance? Seems that the arms would hit the rocks before anything else.

If you make them pivot where your transfer case yoke sits you can minimize the driveshaft slip used during travel.

Mine are made into my transmission crossmember, made a crossmember that works with the flex mounts of the radius arms. Works great. I think my arms are 36" long.

how long is to long? idk.. I don't see where you'd gain anything from longer than 36"

There's little benefit to be had beyond about 15" over stock length. After that mostly you're just reducing your ground clearance (mine are 12" over stock and I have all the travel I need).
