I have an 87 bronco ii with 2.9 and power steering. Looks like i might need to rebuild or replace my steering box.

What years can i use? 83-97 ranger/bronco ii/explorer box? Are they all the same or do i need to find another box specifcally from a bronco ii?

Thanks,
Neal.

I have heard of some people using ones from f-150s. But I do not know what is involed with that. You could always get a used one from a scrap yard. Rebuild that and than swap it in. Less down time for your truck.

I got one from an early 90's f-250. All bolt on, different gear ratio though. Just look at yours and go to a junkyard. Find one that is still connected to the pump so that you don't have years of dirt collected inside it.

Possibly some pre-'97 Econoline vans also?

Lots to pick from regardless.

Pretty much any pre-2000 Ford with a recirulating ball gear box should work with little to no modification.
