I just drilled the heads of the pins off and pounded them out and then used bolts with the threads cut off and a hole drilled in it for a cotter pin. Also it helps if you grind the end to a taper to help it go in.Did you make door pins to make the doors removable?

Edit: You have to unbolt the doors first then remove the pins, just mark the brackets first that way once you seperate the brackets you can just bolt the half to the door while it's on the ground. The best way to hold them is to roll down the window, stand on the inside, put your arm through the window and grab the trim on the outside bottom "kind of like a purse", then you have a free hand to put the pins in.
