Id like to upgrade my transfer case for a better crawl ratio, but dont have the money to drop on an atlas case, and creating my own dual case seems a little over my head...Are there any other options for upgrading the bw1350, or any companies making a "crawl box" like you see for other vehicles/t-cases?

I'm fairley new to the BII's but have owned just about every other 4x4 except for a range rover, over the past several years. So, have you looked into an "Underdrive"? I don't know if you have the room, especially if you have a big lift kit. Just a thought!

There is no deeper gearset available for the 1350/54 series tcases. You are limited to making a crawlbox/doubler or going with an atlas. I fabbed my own doubler for my V8 swap, how much you have to spend? I'd be willing to build you one...

Well, as far as cost goes I'm not really sure. I'm not trying to do anything right away, just figure out what my options are. Ideally I'd like to get the project done for $300-400, which probably wouldnt include the cost of the second tcase I'd have to get...Its a very generous offer you made, but being on different coasts might make the logistics of you building me one kind of tricky. haha. Im sure shipping costs on a whole tcase wouldnt be very cheap...I might get in touch with you about that though if I cant make something happen a little more locally. :icon_cheers:

I just shipped a complete Tcase (4404) from an awd v8 explorer from tn to ok, ran about $73, but total weight with crate was 83 lbs, 65 lbs was only $49, and it wouldnt weigh the full weight of a full Tcase, so figure about $50 for shipping. The intermediate shaft alone runs about $250...

Duffy at D.D. Machine makes a dual t-case kit for the 1350/1354 cases.

He's also on Ebay as 4x4machineshop.

I would look at a 203/205 doubler. I believe they can work with a m50d-r1. The big kicker is the setup to make that work is a fraction of the atlas cost. Plus the 203/205 is a very strong trail proven doubler that is simple and reliable.

The 203 will not bolt to the rbv trannies. The atlas 4 speed would be the way to go. It's one of the shortest setups available. It's barely an inch longer than the doubler I built.

The atlas 4 speed transfer case starts at $3,222.00.
You can build a 1350/54 doubler for less than 1K or buy the one in the classifieds.
