So I went to pick up my shaft and apparently there was some mis-communication. He cut he end off I needed and splined the other end. Well he said he wouldn't charge me for that one. Now I have to round up another shaft for him to cut.

And for the localish folk who were interested in the same, he said they would cost $70 to cut and spline more 1350/1354 shafts. PM me if you want his number.

Is that the same price for a 1356 shaft?? Did you get any pics from it?? I can save him some of the labor and cut the shaft the length it needs to be (which is what I will probably do anyways) that way all he has to do is lathe it down and cut the splines...

No I didn't get pics. He is going to take it and cut and weld it together so I'll have something for a mock up while he cuts the other.

As far as the price, he said it depends on the difficulty. He had not done a 1350/54 shaft before so he didn't know what to expect. I'd ask him about the 1356, but I'd assume it would be close to the same difficulty.

Well sales are through the roof for the next couple months. Looks like this might be my last Sunday off for a while. Which means no wheeling for a while.

I just spent 3 days reading through your whole thread, and your truck is freakin rad!! On a side note, I had that same hf winch, and I used it to pick the whole front of my truck off the ground after I pulled a coil out of a coil bucket... :)

Thanks man. It came in handy when I flopped. I used it to roll me back down the hill after loosing my brakes.

Just wanted to give you props. I have not been on the forums for over a year and I am really impressed with your set-up. My Bronco is now non-opt and probably wont see the trail or a road for years. Lack of funds and other stuff going on. Its an inspiration to see what you are doing though.

If you can shoot me a PM if you found a way to modify your stock tire carrier to latch in a different way. Basically the weight of a larger tire has started to crack my fiberglass hatch and I wonder if you have run into that or if you have a custom bumper? Thanks and again awesome work!
