but i'll have to buy hubs, gears, and breaks just to run the d35.. i think i can get the pass drop housing with everything minus carrier and gears for $50 and if he still has them, 4.56's for the d44 for $60... then i might have to get brakes still.. and do the swap.

i already didn't plan on doing the d35 swap till spring. b/c of it being cool and putting money elsewhere. but i can do $110 now and have all that, just have to get a diff housing by spring to start the SAS.
I change my answer, sounds like you have it locked down, still gunna go 8.8 in the back?

Yeah bc the plan is a narrowed d44 with the outers of the pass drop that has 5x4.5 bolt pattern. So I'll need to get a driver drop housing and narrow it. But the d35 needs work and money to.. And the d44 is what I've wanted anyways. This way I can have the right bolt pattern. If I narrow it, it's the right width. And I found used 4.56's. So it's possible it could be cheaper. More work no doubt but worth it

I know D44 knuckles fit the D35. What if you stick D35 knuckles on the D44? Have full width, but keep 5x4.5 bolt pattern.

wait, i think you may have misunderstood.. i'm getting a pass drop d44 with 5x4.5 bolt pattern already. the only thing i'll have to do is get a driver side drop housing and narrow it down... with the outers of the pass drop. have d44 outers with 5x4.5 bolt pattern still. so stock stance, stock bolt pattern, and still have a d44!

just found out the d44 with the outers i need is from a 75-79 dodge, doesn't have lockouts and it may not work as we originally thought... i'm still gonna go look at it to find out tho.

Why are you wanting to paint it again. Your b2 is sharp

Ive almost changed my mind on painting it just yet. I'm gonna focus on the mods I have coming for now. Paint later. I like to mix it up... It's been painted like
This for about 5 years. The paint still looks good just has a few places that need small dents fixed. But nothing major

That's my stock mirrors. I prefer them over the huge ones. It's a cleaner look and less to get caught up on trails

I miss my big mirrors lol. I would definitely mount a set on any B2 I owned.

The Dana 35 is back on the list. The d44 won't work like I was told it would...

see the flat bar??? that's my bumpers!
oh and my lovely homemade 4 wheeler trailer.. has two liftgates, the rear one is removed for hauling purposes, the front "headache bar" actually will lay on the tailgate. this makes loading 3 fourwheelers easy, 1 in the truck: 2 in the trailer.

trading this surco roof rack

for this lund rack

the one i have is a 50x60, lil to big for the b2.. the other one is 40x50, fits nice.
and i like the shape of the lund better than the squared look of the surco

and i know this is MY build thread, well its kinda a build up- slow process.
but i gotta show love for this b2
http://www.broncoiicorral.com/gallery/MoabB2.htm , i gotta say- i'm jealous

I wish my 89 BII looked as nice as yours, your paint is nice and shiny, and that graphic on the side looks real nice, my BII is all Beige, and when I talk about painting it, my wife and mother-in-law says it's the nicest around, even though I have seen a Red and White one that is nicer.

I have those same flag mirrors on mine, but I'm thinking of changing them out for a set of the big ones, but black, not chrome.

Thanks Robert. Yeah I like the paint and all. Its all paint to, the side stripes are paint. No vinals.. It's still in good shape. The body is still good underneath to. There's not a lot of dents that have been fixed either. My B2 is solid... It's never been up north either tho. No salt! Lol. I'm gonna have to look at yours. See this tan bronco.

And yeah country, Ryan hooked me up on getting it moved over here.

Got the roof rack today. It's gonna be a great fit I think. Marc was even nice enough to throw in two hella lights and a wiring harness. Awesome guy. I get to drive about 2.5 hours Tuesday to start the bumpers. I'm making progress. Pics will come.
