Im getting ready to do an oil change and it will be with Castrol Edge 10-40. my first with a synthetic.
I was thinking of using the K&N filter. any suggestions on other quality oil filters?

Wix (napa gold) or your regular puralator holds up well against most. local walmart had Mobil1 filters for $8ea, so i bought a few for upcoming oil changes.

I've also been wondering this, I run synthetic and will run it about 7k to 10k on one change with the Mobil 1 Extended Performance. I need a filter that is also made to run that long. Any sugestions to help us out on the longer change intervals?

I like the Motorcraft FL1A oil filter. It is a great filter. Don't use FRAM, I learned this the hard way.

Motorcraft FL1A is cheap, available just about anywhere, and well made.

-6 for fram. One for every engine I've seen blow from oil problems while using them.

Motorcraft has the best filter out of all of them.
